Beth Marsh, the Director of the ACCESS Scholarship Program, has worked at Appalachian since 2001. Beth earned her Master’s and Education Specialist degrees from Appalachian and spent several years working in and teaching Freshman Seminar prior to coming to ACCESS. This will be Beth’s twelfth year directing the program.

Program Leadership

Sheila Burleson is the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She has been with ASU since 2009, as the Housing Coordinator  for University Housing where she worked closely with the ACCESS program, assisting students with their living arrangements. She moved to the Office of Student Financial Aid in 2016, and is excited to again be an advocate and mentor for the ACCESS program. She will handle verification, financial aid packaging and any questions related to accounts for our ACCESS students.  This is her third year working with the ACCESS Program.

Adam Warren is the Academic Advisor for ACCESS students. Adam has been with ACCESS since 2014.  He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from ASU.  This will be Adam's sixth year working with ACCESS students. Adam spent several years working with students who fit the ACCESS profile in Upward Bound and as an educator in the Early College High School system.
